Unbound - Residential Retreat

UNBOUND

Freeing up for yourself and others

Dates: 18th-23rd September

Location: Atisha Centre, Bendigo

Do you want to settle into states of flow, and wake up your wisdom/discernment?

Do you want to challenge patterns that tax you and others, including overt self reliance, and place yourself in a broader lineage of human support?

Do you want to see more clearly where you might be ‘overidentified’ and ‘on repeat’ with certain states, blocking your wise action?

In this residential retreat we will draw on the gifts of the Insight lineage, while being held at the Tibetan Atisha Centre, a tradition which implicitly acknowledges that we don't practice for ourselves alone.

In the secular West, the Dharma can sometimes be reduced to self/pain management, ‘wellness’ to cope better with demands of modern living. The radical, freeing possibility the Dharma offers can get a little squeezed, essential juice dried.

Together we will look into what constitutes a more inclusive sense of ‘wellbeing’ - each one of us, an essential node in a soulful network.

While we will explore why it's important to not ‘spiritually bypass’ - practice as a defence against pain or shadows we need to address, we will also explore the wider view that the Dharma invites us into. So we can meet our pain in order to go through it. Not reaffirm it.

You will be supported to loop into states of flow, beauty, connection - to meet our human mess from a larger place. A more unbound place.

Practices will include the two wings of the Dharma, wisdom and compassion. Whole bodied concentration practice and the power of natural good feeling - including piti (Pali: pleasure), sukka (happiness), metta (Loving Kindness) will assist us to see in ways that free, particularity into the nature of dukka (Pali: suffering); annica (impermanence) and anahata (selflessness).

Everyone is welcome, come place your mind in a wider cradle and empower the unconditional heart and the discerning eyes of wisdom.

Bookings open soon!
