The Unstoppable Heart

A free class to connect to the fierce and tender power of your own heart

July 9th • 7pm AEST • 90 minutes

When It All Feels Too Much

Heartbreak, loneliness, boredom, self-harassment, the weight of the world - these visit us all differently and unevenly, but none of us escape them.

It's natural to want to harden up or numb out when pain arrives.

But these times call for something different.

Your Heart Can Do What Your Mind Cannot

You might feel like you can't rise to meet what's here - and maybe you can't.

But perhaps your heart can.

The human heart has the capacity to rise again and again, through great loss and hardship. To meet experience with courage and warmth. To be a lover of the real.

This takes practice, and wise handling.

A powerful heart is not naive openness

It's a discerning, tender and sometimes fierce love - supported by steady ground and the recognition that we all belong to something bigger.

And when your heart engages -

as you get behind your own life

- powerful shifts start to happen.

A Path Through Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times

Your Guide: Jess Huon

"From the minute I heard Buddhist teachings I was lit up by the heart practices and sought them out. I want to ripple these out far and wide, so that more of us can feel our hearts  - as both a balm and a force of courage - as we do our work in the world."

With 30 years of practice and study, Jess has spent countless hours exploring what it means to be human. A dharma teacher, writer and mentor, she blends deep understanding of classical Buddhist teachings with her embodied experience as a contemporary woman and artist on the path.

Authorised to teach in the Insight and Open Dharma traditions, Jess has spent extended periods in monasteries worldwide, and is also deeply informed by Tantric traditions and long stretches of solitary forest practice.

She stands for every human’s capacity to find fresh responses to personal and collective challenges, deeper than distraction and despair.

Through retreats, courses, and mentoring, Jess has supported thousands to anchor back into their natural dignity, warmth and power.

"When you can unnumb to yourself, it's so powerful. When your heart is there, you're not alone."

What Others Have Experienced:

"It was a refuge, rays of light and truth, a backbone for the chaos and pain that inevitably emerges in this human life. And on top of all this it was so joyful, connecting, loving. It was one of the best things I have ever done."

"My experience was a profound deep dive into ancient, philosophical and embodied wisdom. An exquisite exploration of what it is to be human, through a Buddhist lens, guided by my incredible teacher Jess, alongside an amazing community of practice."

"There is radical goodness that comes from learning to stay, to calmly abide by myself, to regard all parts of myself with friendliness, and to resource in my enoughness. It's truly counter-cultural."
